Wadjar Indigenous Gallery | Lullabies and Sweet Dreams

Wadjar Indigenous Gallery in Corindi Beach is holding the exhibition opening of Lullabies and Sweet Dreams on Saturday 22 June from 11am to 2pm.

Lullabies and Sweet Dreams has grown out of a collaboration between participants from Happy Hearts Playgroup, a project of Australian Red Cross migrant parenting playgroup supporting families from Migrant and Refugee Backgrounds with professional artists Alison Williams (Creative Director Wadjar Indigenous Gallery), Lizzy Rutten & Emily White ( Grow the Music), Nancy Sposato projects and creative producer Naomi Steinborner (Two Thumbs Up).

The exhibition explores cultural identity, family and belonging through multi artform installation including sound and photography, ceramics & visual art, food stories and memories.

The opening event will include Welcome to Country, Aboriginal Dance by Wadjar Ngaarlu dancers, live Music with Ali Shkaki and Kamaran Gharib with Traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony and light lunch provided.
