Author Minh Hien, a former Vietnamese refugee, and her family will host a charity book reading to celebrate the contributions of Vietnamese refugees to Australian society and to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) at Glebe Town Hall on 21 June 2019 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
The theme of the evening is to “share a meal, share a story”: the program consists of speeches, book reading, refreshments (simple Vietnamese food) and conversations among guests of diverse culture and background. Signed copies of My Heritage Vietnam fatherland motherland will be available for purchase.
21 June is MND Global Day. In honour of her mother, Minh Hien will donate the gross proceeds of sales of the books on 21 June 2019 to the MND Association of Tasmania.
Free to attend. Registration is required. Please email [email protected] to confirm your attendance.
