In 2016 Jess Hackett had a vision to deliver a message on foot to Parliament - a message of welcoming and community. Jess turned this vision into a reality after walking for 40 days! upon her arrival, she handed over a petition to Her local member, Russell Broadbent with over 1700 signatures.

During this Refugee Week event, Jess will share the stories of refugees, Australian farmers and city folk, and showcase the welcoming spirit in all our hearts.
